Bring instant answers from your Zendesk knowledge base into Slack with Question Base. In just a few clicks, you can connect Zendesk and start responding to team questions with up-to-date articles—automatically.

1. Connect Zendesk as a data source

Head to questionbase.ai/questions and click Settings → Add integration.

Choose Zendesk from the list of data sources.

We use ragie.ai to securely connect Zendesk with Question Base. You’ll be prompted to enter:

  • Your Zendesk domain (acme.zendesk.com)
  • Your Zendesk admin email address
  • A Zendesk API token (we’ll show you how to get it below)

2. Get your Zendesk connected

In Zendesk:

  1. Go to Admin Center → Apps and Integrations → Zendesk API
  2. Enable Token Access
  3. Click Add API Token
  4. Copy the token and paste it into Question Base when prompted

🔐 Make sure to store the token somewhere safe—Zendesk only shows it once.

3. Customize how answers appear

Once connected, Question Base will start indexing your Zendesk Help Center articles automatically.

You can preview how answers will show up in Slack and tweak formatting under Settings → Customize AI answers. Add disclaimers, links to full articles, or tailor responses by channel.

4. Start answering questions in Slack

That’s it. From now on, when someone asks a product or support question in Slack, Question Base will search your Zendesk content and suggest an answer—automatically.

Your team gets faster, more accurate responses, and you reduce repeated questions without lifting a finger.

✅ Bonus tips

  • Need to update content? Just update the article in Zendesk—Question Base will keep learning from the latest version.
  • Want to connect more sources like Notion or Google Drive? You can add them anytime under Settings → Add integration. See the list of all our integrations here.
